On Monday night, 22/10, I fell sick. Started my bouts of vomiting and diarrhoea. It got worst and my parents had to take me to the doctor at around midnight. Doctor said I ate something that disagreed with my stomach, something my body couldn’t take. Thus, my body was trying to get rid of it ASAP, thus the vomiting and diarrhoea. He also said I had gastric problems because of that, and giddiness which resulted from electrolyte imbalance from the rapid expulsion of fluid and salt from my body.
He gave me 7 types of medication and told me I would be just fine. The medication did help a little. I vomit and had diarrhoea less often. But I suspect that’s because I have nothing left in my body to expel. I continued to vomit out everything I put into my body, including the anti-vomit medicine. Thus, the medication was basically useless because they weren’t kept in my body.
Last night, I went to see another doctor because I was feeling worst. Was feeling so tired and giddy I was bed-ridden. This second doctor said I no longer had gastric problems. However, he said my diarrhoea was too serious to be taking one tablet three times daily as previously recommended. Instead, he got me to take two tablets every three hours. He also changed my medication for vomiting.
Surprisingly, I did wake up feeling much better this morning. After breakfast I felt like vomiting again, but I immediately went to bed. Just woke up and I seem to be getting better.
Through this ordeal, I’ve been praying for healing. And am still praying for healing. I have many things to do, but I can’t gather enough energy to stay awake for more than 2 hours at one go. Basically I just wake up to eat, take medication and go to the toilet. I need to be well by tomorrow as I need to travel to Singapore and meet my professor at 2pm tomorrow. Its going to take another miracle from God, but I believe He can do it for me again. Praise the Lord!
And sorry if I’ve neglected you guys, like not replying to your SMSes or messages on MSN etc. I really don’t have the strength for that. Take care my friends. And please help me to pray for speedy recovery too.
